Unfollow Tracker for X: see who unfollowed you on Twitter

A free Chrome extension that shows who unfollowed you on X (formerly Twitter), tracks your new followers, and, unlike most unfollower trackers, tells a real unfollow apart from an account that was deleted, deactivated, or suspended.

It runs in your own logged-in x.com session. There is no login, no password, no API key, and no server. Your follower data stays in your browser.

What it does

  • See who unfollowed you. A searchable list of everyone who dropped off your followers, newest first, with profile pictures and follower and following counts.
  • Left, or just gone? Separates real unfollows from deleted, deactivated, and suspended accounts, so you know whether someone left you or left X.
  • Track new followers. Every new follower since your last scan.
  • Unrequited follows. Everyone you follow who doesn’t follow you back, most recently followed first.
  • History over time. A per-run log of how your follower count changed, day by day.

How to install

The simplest way is the Chrome Web Store button above. To load it manually instead:

  1. 1Download the extension and unzip it.
  2. 2Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, and click Load unpacked.
  3. 3Pick the unzipped folder, pin the icon, and sign into x.com in the same browser.

How it works

The extension reads your follower data the same way x.com does when you’re logged in, then diffs each snapshot against the last one to show who came and went. When someone drops off, it looks the account up to see whether they unfollowed you or the account is gone. Nothing leaves your machine.

Questions

How do I see who unfollowed me on X (Twitter)?
Install Unfollow Tracker for X, sign into x.com in the same browser, and open the extension. It takes a snapshot of your followers and everyone you follow, then compares each new scan against the last one and lists exactly who unfollowed you, newest first.
Is it free?
Yes. Unfollow Tracker for X is a free Chrome extension. There is no paid tier, no subscription, and no account to create.
Do I have to give it my Twitter password?
No. The extension never asks for your password or an API key. It uses the x.com session you are already logged into, reads your follower data the way the site itself does, and keeps everything on your own device.
Can it tell if someone unfollowed me or just deleted their account?
Yes, and this is the main difference from other unfollower trackers. When an account drops off your followers, it checks whether they simply unfollowed you (their account still exists), deleted or deactivated their account, or were suspended by X, and sorts each into its own list.
Does it work on Twitter and X?
X is the platform formerly known as Twitter, at x.com. The extension works on the current site regardless of which name you use for it.
Can I see who I follow that does not follow me back?
Yes. The Unrequited tab lists every account you follow that does not follow you back, ordered by who you followed most recently.
Is my data private?
Everything is processed and stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no analytics or tracking, and uninstalling the extension deletes the data.
